(90 images) - I've driven by the Basilica countless times, but I'd never been stood in front of it, never been in it, and never give myself the opportunity to take it all in. I have to say I'm very impressed. While I still think there is some sort of weird Catholic Voodoo that makes it larger on the inside than on the out, when I stepped through the main interior doors I just smiled and whispered "Nice". There are many things that bewilder me about St. Louis, but this is one of the few things that I have found truly amazing. I have to believe that this place might be some of my relatives wet dream...if as Catholics they're allowed to have those. This is one of the few days of shooting that I've had where I'm sharing more than 10% of what I shot...very hard to pic best shots. Great place..awe inspiring. Pictures shot with a Pentax *ist DL, Pentax smc P-FA 50mm F1.4 and Quantaray 70-300mm, more info in metadata.
